I have planted some more roses in the yard and they are so pretty. I did find out that the same roses that I was buying at the roses stand in Tyler, Texas can them.
We had to trim they back earlier this year than I would have liked, but had to do some work right in that area of the yard. I am sure hoping that it does not hurt them next year; I know it has not at the moment. At least one of the roses we trimmed is blooming now.
I am hoping to plant some more roses next year. I just really do not know where be bought at Wal-Mart and also at Big Lots. That helps knowing they are of a good quality and price and also that I do not have to drive to Tyler to get I am going to have the room. Guess that is my problem to figure out.

Roses

I am an amateur rose gardener, and would like to get the word out about some of the different things about roses. Roses bushes comes it all different shapes and sizes. Roses can change color with the different types of soil they are planted in. Roses can be simply to care for if you get that type, or they can be very difficult to care for, it really depends on the type of roses you have. The simplest to care for are the wild roses, also known as the seven sisters in the south, because they have seven blooms that all come up on the same stem and open at the same time. Rose bushes can grow to different heights, it is according to whether they are climbing roses or not. I have some that are not climbing roses, but the bushes have gotten six or seven foot tall. Then come winter I prune them back down to size.I bought quite a few different color roses from Tyler, Texas, that had the name and color on the bag. I also printed up a list of where I planted which one and the color of it, so I could make sure the next year when the bloomed, or that year if it was not to late. Well, to my surprise when the roses started blooming not a one was even close to the color it was supposed to be. I did some research and found out that was normal with the different types of soil. Some of the roses that were supposed to be red bloomed white. I had one that was supposed to be peach and it bloomed orange and had the smallest flowers on it, it was a really pretty color; I had never seen that color on a roses before, I am no roses expert just someone who loves to see them blooming. We have planted 3 different rose beds in our yard, and I am trying to figure where else I can put one that will get the right amount of sun and shade. I have found that if roses do not get enough sun they will die. Also if they are planted in a spot that holds a lot of water instead of having good drainage they will die. If you can keep your rose plants alive and blooming you will enjoy the sight and smells they give off.
